First whiskey as beer...now whiskey as fuel?

Scientists in Scotland at Edinburgh Napier University have developed a biofuel made from the by-products of whiskey production that has the potential to power vehicles and airplanes. The research team used two main by-products of the whiskey distilling process and produced butanol, which gives more power output than conventional biofuels. Significantly, this fuel can be used in cars without modifying their engines and is also more environmentally sustainable than current biofuels.
